International EMU Collaboration Meeting 2024

25 - 27 September 2024, Perth, Western Australia

This is the 22nd International Meeting of the Evolutionary Map of the Universe (EMU) team since the series began in 2010, and will be the first in-person (and hybrid) meeting since the pandemic. The EMU meetings are an opportunity to share the latest developments across the team, encompassing new datasets, techniques, approaches, and results. With EMU observations now 20% complete, and with 60+ refereed papers published already, the project is rapidly gaining momentum. This meeting will feature discussions and planning for delivery of additional value-added science ready data products, practical and logistical issues related to data handling and sharing, engagements and collaboration with other survey projects, as well as highlights of recent EMU science results and work in progress. With a mix of presentations and focused discussions the meeting will be highly interactive, and will serve to further enhance the strongly collaborative nature of our team.

Location & Venue

The meeting will take place at the University Club of Western Australia, located on The University of Western Australia campus overlooking beautiful Matilda Bay in Crawley, the western suburbs of Perth, WA. The UWA campus is 10 mins away from the Perth CBD, and around 45 mins by public transport from the Perth airport.

The University Club address is: Hackett Entrance, 1 Hackett Dr., Crawley WA 6009, Australia (Google Maps)

If you have never visited Perth in Western Australia before, have a skim though tourism webpages to see what's on and what's worth seeing when you are in this part of the globe by checking out the Official Visit Perth and Tourism Western Australia websites.
